Gallery One Meets Artist Paul Goodnight

Besides viewing incredible art at the NBFAS, we had the opportunity to meet many great artists. The highlight of the trip was meeting legendary artist Paul Goodnight.

We have been captivated by his art for almost twenty years, since first seeing his art at the "Black Expo" in New Orleans. "Brazilian Heartprints," a serigraph, was the first piece of his that we saw, and ironically the first piece of his that we collected nearly fifteen years later.

Paul has a new Jazz series out, entitled, "No Strings Attached," which pays tribute to the rich heritage of American Jazz culture. "Guitar" is the print pictured to the right.
